It’s time to make a little merry! Members of all ages are invited to sing songs, make crafts, and trim the trees here at  Immanuel Church on Saturday, December 3. Join us in the sanctuary and Volkening Hall from 1:00pm to 4:00pm as we deck the halls, have some fun, and kick off the holiday season together.

On Sunday, December 4, the Fellowship Ministry is sponsoring a sweets swap, “Sweet Sunday.” Fellowship members, and any and all congregational members, are invited to bake or buy something to swap on that day. Cookies, bread, pies, cakes, candy, whatever you like. Bring it to church and swap it for something someone else has donated. All donations need to be packaged/wrapped. At the end of the swap, we will pack up some treats for our shut-ins!

Join us in Volkening Hall on Wednesday, December 7, at 6:00pm for a traditional holiday turkey dinner. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, your other typical holiday sides and, most importantly, pies will be provided! We look forward to seeing you there!

For our Christmas mission this year, we are again sponsoring the junior high and high school age group in our community, in support of the Hanover Township toy drive. The following is a helpful list of some items that this group would appreciate. And you can buy anything you’d like. Any size, any color, for any gender, in any quantity, etc.

These gifts are due at church, unwrapped, by Sunday, December 11. They will be passed out on Friday, December 16. If you would like to make a monetary donation, the ministry can purchase the gifts for you. Thank you all for making wonderful holidays for people in our community!

Blue Christmas, or Longest Night, service is a time to come together and recognize the grief that can come along with the holiday season.

This year, we will gather on Wednesday, December 21, at 7:00pm in the sanctuary for a brief time of worship and reflection, followed by cookies and coffee in Volkening Hall for any who would like to talk further.

Christmas Eve service will be held at 7:00pm  on December 24. This will be a candlelight gathering as we welcome the long-awaited Messiah into our lives and into the world.

Our Christmas Day service will be held at 9:00am on December 25, filled with joyous  carols. Come celebrate this blessed day with us - PJ’s and ugly sweaters allowed!
