The Beatitudes: An Illustrated Curriculum is a twelve-session, verse-by-verse study that we began last September of the Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew.

Together, through art, reflection, discussion, and activity, we explored Jesus’ vision of God’s inclusive kingdom, how Jesus turned expectations and traditional beliefs about being blessed upside down, and how to live into the promises of Jesus’ Beatitudes.

Join us for our last session, Coming Down the Mountain, on Wednesday, August 11, as we recap all we've learned about the Beatitudes, Jesus' message to the people, and ourselves. This virtual study is held at 5:00pm for those under 18 and at 7:00pm for those 18 and older. Zoom login information and all materials will be shared via the all-church email list.

IUCC offered Compassion Camp again this summer July 26-July 30. This year's program was "Changing the World with LovingKindness".

If you were not able to join us for worship service on Sunday, August 1, see the replay on our Facebook page as the Compassion Camp participants celebrated their week with a recap for the congregation.

Since it's back to school time, we  also started the year off right on August 1 with a blessing to students of all ages, teachers and staff who brought their backpacks and bags to worship. Everyone who participated also received a special tag.
