June 26 - Lemonade
A weekly sabbath day is important, but summertime has the potential to be a whole season of sabbath like no other. After all, what we remember and treasure isn't work and worry; it's lemonade and porch swings, bumblebees and bubbles. So let's make some memories! Remember the sabbath and keep it holy!
July 3 - What Jonah Learned Inside the Whale
What was Jonah thinking and doing during those three days inside the whale's belly? Let's imagine together. After-worship activities will be an aquarium meditation and outdoor water fun. Bring a swimsuit or clothes that can get wet if you'd like!
July 10 - Noah's Lullaby
How did Noah manage all the animals on the ark? Let's dream about it in worship. After-worship plans include a campfire for singing songs, and roasting hotdogs.
July 17 - Room to Fall
Guest preacher Rev. Cyndy Ash (Jubilee Farms UCC) will preach on David and Goliath, and what it's like to be one of the "small guys" in farming. After-worship will be a good old-fashioned church picnic. Please bring a salad to share, if you are able.
July 24 - All Sad Songs
We take a break from the merriment to recognize that summer isn't always fun for everyone. As we explore the story of the women at Jesus' tomb, we will be reminded that God is there through it all. After-worship we will take some time to wander the church cemetery, remembering those who came before with a headstone scavenger hunt.
July 31 - Music
Let's end the series on a high note. Literally! In worship, we'll talk about the joy of music. After-worship we'll celebrate with a light-hearted jam session featuring kids' instruments.
Looking Ahead: Pastor Jeanne will be on vacation August 7 & 14, and we will welcome a guest pastor. August 21 we will celebrate the Blessing of the Backpacks, and enjoy the Women's Guild ice cream social. See you there!
