With the help of the Volkening Trust,
we are in the process of changing most of the thermostats in the
buildings. We are doing this so it will be easier for all of us to
use as they will all be the same model. When we get them all
installed we will have instruction cards to give to all the
ministries that use the buildings. These are user friendly
thermostats and will be no problem to use. We need to do this
because this should help save energy and indirectly help with our
utility bills.

How many times have you read or heard the phrase "My cup runneth
over?" Here at Immanuel we are just starting to fill our CUP. We
have started a clean-up, painting project (CUP) that will help us
restore the inside buildings. We have already started CUP in the
west classroom and Volkening Hall. We are planning on meeting the
3rd Saturday of the month at around 9 AM. If this time is not good
for you, you can come and help any time. We will have all the
materials that are needed so all you have to do is show up.
The B & G Ministry knows that this project is not for everyone
because it is labor intense, but you could come and help make coffee
or just give encouragement to the helpers! This is a project that we
all can do!
Some of the projects CUP does are as follows: dust/clean light
fixtures dust/clean blinds patch/clean paint walls and sills wash
windows clean cabinets clean carpets
We have started CUP so that we can make our church presentable to
possible renters. This in turn will help us to start using our
wonderful sound system, our new video equipment, our Volkening Hall
for gatherings and much more BUT one of the biggest things CUP can
do is make us all feel better after a day of cleaning and painting
in knowing that we are PAYING BACK THE CHURCH for all it has given
us!
So won’t you help IUCC fill its CUP in any possible way that you
can! If you have any questions, please contact Jay Olriksen.
